Improvements:
- A PIX4Dcloud dataset’s details display who created the dataset.
- Maximum processing time increased from 48 hours to 72 hours to support larger and more complex datasets.
- Gaussian splats are compressed and reordered to improve PIX4Dcloud’s 3D editor performance and rendering quality.
Bug fixes:

October 6th, 2025 - ArcGIS Online Export, Gaussian Splats, and Enhanced 3D Editor Tools
What's new:
- Transfer data from PIX4Dcloud Advanced to ArcGIS Online.
- Generate Gaussian Splats with drone images.
- Generate compressed Gaussian Splats for faster rendering in 3D editor.
- Snap annotations to edges of design overlay files in 3D editor.
Improvements:
- Increase maximum number of points that can be rendered with 3D editor from 20 million to 60 million points.
Changes:
- PIX4Dcloud generates scalable 3D textured meshes by default, which can export an OBJ 3D textured mesh with multiple OBJs and JPGs.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed the issue where it was not possible to download outputs when the organization owned both a trial and paid license.
- Fixed the issue where it was not possible to download outputs after the license expired and during the data retention period.

- Fixed the issue where the 2D editor was sometimes unresponsive when opening a site with DXF design overlays.
- Fixed the issue where the Gaussian splats sometimes flickered in the 3D editor when specular reflections was enabled.
- Fixed the issue where the region of interest was ignored when generating Gaussian splats.

August 19th, 2025 - PIX4Dcloud Drive's Search Gets a Major Upgrade
Improvements:
- PIX4Dcloud drive’s search also searches in PIX4Dcloud datasets' notes.
Changes:
- PIX4Dcloud dataset creation wizard no longer allows uploading multispectral TIFF or SIG images for processing.
- PIX4Dcloud’s 3D editor and PIX4Dcatch’s PIX4Dcloud AR render Gaussian splats without spherical harmonics or specular reflections by default. They can be enabled in the Gaussian splat layer’s display settings.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed the issue where the region of interest and requested outputs were ignored when requesting an SLPK point cloud or 3D textured mesh with a compound output coordinate reference system.
- Fixed the issue where one or more layers would disappear from the 2D editor in some web browsers when more than 16 design overlays were enabled at the same time.
- Fixed the issue where the 3D editor rendered Gaussian splats with the wrong color in web browsers on Android mobile devices.

Improvements:
- When downloading inputs, outputs, and reconstructions with PIX4Dcloud's web UI, the default file name includes the current name of the PIX4Dcloud dataset and site.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed the issue where an account failed to join an organization when it was a member of an organization.
- Fixed the issue where the elevation computed for an annotation created with the 2D editor sometimes was less accurate than expected.
- Fixed the issue where the horizontal position of an annotation created with the 2D editor sometimes moved when it was created or edited for datasets with a compound or vertical coordinate reference system.

- The projects uploaded from PIX4Dcatch using the Gaussian Splatting technique for processing have the following improvements:
- Sky-related noise is now eliminated from reconstructions.
- Processing times have been reduced for faster results.
- Sparse points in the point cloud now cause less noise.
- Fine details in the point cloud are more accurately reconstructed.
