How PIX4Dfields software communicates with third-parties via internet
PIX4Dfields communicates with external software and services over the internet to support specific functionality.
The following connections may occur:
- PIX4Dfields communicates with PIX4D servers for license validation and to check for updates.
- Optional communication occurs if (and only if) the user chooses to upload data to PIX4Dcloud. The storage of the PIX4Dcloud project files is on Amazon S3, the region can be selected by the user in the Organization setting > Organization details.
-
We collect usage statistics through PIX4D server, then Mixpanel (GDPR compliant).
-
This can be anonymized by the user (account privacy settings) but not turned off.
-
-
We collect crash reports through Sentry (third-party)
-
Crash reports are anonymized.
-
-
By default, we fetch 2D map tiles from Maptiler (third-party)
-
-
This can point to a different custom provider if the user would like to. More information here: Use a custom basemap in PIX4Dfields.
