Pix4D offers 15-day trials for most products. This allows customers to try the software and use most of the features for a limited time.
In principle, the first trial license for each software can be requested from the user account settings page:
- If a Pix4D user account has not been created yet, follow the steps here to Sign up.
- Open your account page and log in with your Pix4D account.
- Under Your organizations, select the Dashboard of the organization where the trial license should be assigned. If the account was recently created, only one organization will be listed.
- Click on Download software on the left sidebar.
- Scroll down to Discover more products and, depending on the selected product, either fill out the form or download the software.
- After downloading and installing the software, launch it and log in with a Pix4D user account. A button to request a trial will appear.
Note: If there are issues obtaining a trial license, such as a previous request made with the same account or organization, the "Start Trial" button may not be visible. Trial activation is automatic only for first time requests. To request another trial, contact the sales team by selecting Request a trial on the form: Talk to sales.
Important: Starting March 31, 2025, exporting outputs from trial versions of PIX4Dmatic, PIX4Dsurvey, and PIX4Dcloud will no longer be possible, consistent with the existing limitations in PIX4Dfields and PIX4Dreact.
Details: Tools, processing, and workflows within the Pix4D ecosystem can still be tested (e.g., uploading from desktop to cloud). However, the user interface will indicate that a paid license is required to export or download outputs.

Warning: Trial licenses are generally not automatically converted into paid subscriptions. An exception applies to PIX4Dcatch trial licenses requested through Apple's in-app purchase system.
In this case, the subscription must be managed through the "Settings" app on the iOS device. If not canceled before the trial ends, a paid subscription will begin automatically.
Settings > ID Apple (your name at the top) > Subscription > Cancel Subscription.

Tip: If the message "Non-commercial" appears after logging in to PIX4Dmapper and Step 3 is unavailable, the software may be running in Discovery mode. Please follow the procedure described here: Step 3 processing option is not available: Discovery mode. - PIX4Dmapper.
Note: Trial licenses give you access to all processing features. However, you need a paid license to export data from PIX4Dmatic, PIX4Dsurvey, PIX4Dcloud, PIX4Dcloud Advanced, PIX4Dfields, and PIX4Dreact.
Tip: If you need to test the export functionalities, please contact our Sales team.
