Separation of PIX4Dmapper and PIX4Dcloud products (Oct 1, 2020) - FAQ

What does the separation of PIX4Dmapper and PIX4Dcloud mean?

As of October 1st, 2020, PIX4Dcloud will no longer be included in the PIX4Dmapper license.

This is a necessary step to provide the most valuable products to our customers, to reflect the evolution of Pix4D’s product portfolio, and to make room for further development of each product.

What are the changes for PIX4Dmapper licenses purchased before October 1st, 2020?

  • Valid PIX4Dmapper monthly or yearly subscription licenses: PIX4Dcloud or PIX4Dcloud Advanced (depending on the current subscription) will be available until the end of the current subscription period.
  • PIX4Dmapper perpetual licenses with valid Support and Updates: PIX4Dcloud or PIX4Dcloud Advanced (depending on the current subscription) will be available until the end of the Support and Updates period.

Starting on October 1st, 2020, access to PIX4Dcloud will not be available with renewed PIX4Dmapper subscriptions and renewed Support and Updates.

Will there be any price changes in the existing product pricing plans?

PIX4Dmapper will be available at the previous price. To learn more about pricing and bundle discounts, check out our Pricing page as of October 1st, 2020.

What happens if I purchase a PIX4Dmapper subscription before October 1st, 2020?

If you purchase a PIX4Dmapper subscription before October 1st, 2020 you will have access to PIX4Dcloud until the end of your subscription period.

What happens to the existing Cloud projects associated with my current license?

At the expiration of your PIX4Dcloud access, the standard PIX4Dcloud storage expiration policy applies.

How can I get access to cloud processing when my PIX4Dcloud is not valid any more?

You can get a PIX4Dcloud or PIX4Dcloud Advanced subscription at Manage my subscription plan.

What does the PIX4Dmapper Support and Updates include?

Renewing the Support and Updates service will give access to personal technical support and new versions of the PIX4Dmapper desktop application that you own as they are released. If the Support and Updates has expired or is about to expire, it is possible to renew it online: How to renew Support and Updates.

What happens after October 1st 2021?

As of October 1st, 2021, all PIX4Dmapper licenses or Support and Updates bought/renewed before October 1st 2020 should have expired. That means that from October 1st 2021, only customers with a PIX4Dcloud, PIX4Dcloud Advanced or PIX4Dengine Cloud license will be able to generate new projects with the PIX4Dcloud products.
