Collaborators can visualize the created datasets via special URLs generated by PIX4Dcloud.

Important: Collaborators don't need to have a Pix4D account to be able to access the shared links.

To share a dataset:

  1. Open the dataset.
  2. At the top right corner, click Share. Different links are available:

3. Copy the needed URL and deliver it to collaborators.

Information: Turning the toggle off will immediately deactivate the sharing link. Collaborators will not be able to access the project any longer using the link they received.

Link URLs

When using the LINK URLs:

  • All the content of the 2D and 3D views
  • The annotations

are shared.

  • The elevation profile can be generated from the shared LINK URL.

Important: A link generated from PIX4Dcloud Advanced shares the entire Site with collaborators, who can open all the datasets belonging to the same site and perform comparisons. Notice that a Compare mode view can directly be shared. More information in How to use the 2D Comparison tool on PIX4Dcloud Advanced.
Warning: The input images and the output files will not be shared meaning they cannot be downloaded from a sharing link.

Two LINK URLs can be enabled, copied and shared:

1. With the first link, the collaborators with which the link is shared can view and measure: while the link is enabled, collaborators can:

    • Open a dataset as anonymous users.
    • Measure and perform analysis using the 2D/3D tools and annotations.
    • Change the properties of each layer (visibility, opacity, background color, etc..)
    • After a page refresh, the changes will be discarded.

2. With the second link, the collaborators with which the link is shared can edit and save: while the link is enabled, collaborators can:

    • Open a dataset as anonymous users.
    • Measure and perform analysis using the 2D/3D tools and annotations.
    • Change the properties of each layer (visibility, opacity, background color, etc..).
    • After a page refresh, the measurements and the changes will remain saved.

Tip: By clicking Preview, the dataset owner can preview how the collaborator will visualize the shared dataset and which functionalities are allowed.

Example: Have a look at our Demo section and open one of our demo projects to see what the result of sharing a project (with view and measure rights) looks like.

Embed URLs

Use the HTML content copied from the EMBED tab to embed the 2D/3D views on another website.

When using the EMBED URLs:

  • Visualization is only allowed.
  • Measurements are not allowed.
  • Annotations added to the dataset are not visible.
  • The orthomosaic or 3D results can be visualized.

The final results on the external website are the following.

    Hello,

This article does not specify if new annotations and annotation groups are saved using the 2nd link:

    2. With the second link, the collaborators with which the link is shared can edit and save: while the link is enabled, collaborators can:

      • Open a dataset as anonymous users.
      • Measure.
      • Change the properties of each layer (visibility, opacity, background color, etc..).
      • After a page refresh, the measurements and the changes will remain saved.

I have a client using the 2nd link, but his annotations do not show up when i access the site.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Hi Benjamin,

With "Measure" we meant measuring by adding annotations. I have updated the text based on your feedback. Is it more clear now?

Regarding the issue with the saving of the annotations, could you open a new support request sharing the following details:

    - Project ID or URL
    - Annotation file that your client is trying to import, if any
    - Sharing link with edit rights that you shared with your client.

    Thank you

We are try to share a file and then download the DSM and ortho files, but the Files, Download and Share files are not there.

    Hello Joshua,

Unfortunately, you cannot download data from a shared link. I passed your concern to our team for future development of our cloud products. Thank you for your understanding.
