This article contains 10 frequently asked questions on billing and licensing about PIX4Dcloud and PIX4Dcloud advanced.

Can Pix4D software be tried for free?

A 15-day trial is offered to new users after creating an account. For more information about getting the trial licenses: Try Pix4D software for free.

Which payment options are accepted?

Visa, MasterCard (all countries), American Express (only for Canada and the United States), Discover, and JCB (for selected countries), and PayPal (only for the United States) are accepted. Wire transfers are also possible upon online checkout or can be assisted by our Sales team

How to add, update, and delete credit/debit card details?

For users in the credit balance system, changes in the credit/debit card details can be made upon the checkout process.

For users in the image and dataset allowance system, credit/debit card information can be managed from the Account Settings section of the personal account. A detailed explanation of Managing the credit/debit card information.

Can a one-month subscription be purchased?

Yes. Pix4D subscriptions are renewed monthly or annually. In order to stop being charged, the subscription needs to be canceled before the end of the current billing cycle (see How to change or cancel a subscription).  If the subscription license was canceled or expired, a new one must be purchased. This will default to monthly or yearly renewal, depending on the newly purchased license.

How to change or cancel a subscription?

Canceling of a subscription is available anytime from the subscription page. Any cancellations will be reflected only at the end of the existing billing cycle. If a subscription is canceled, it will not renew automatically. The billing will not occur at the end of the current billing cycle. For more information: How to cancel the subscription plan.

How to add an additional cloud allowance/credits to a PIX4Dcloud subscription?

For users in the credit balance system, more credits can be purchased online or assisted by our Sales team.

For users in the image and dataset allowance system, a cloud allowance upgrade is possible anytime from the manage section of the subscription page if a PIX4Dcloud subscription is already active. A prorated one-time fee for the remainder of the billing period will be charged.

What happens if the credit card information is removed from the account page?

For users in the credit balance system, payment methods cannot be added or removed from the account. This is mainly for the users in the image and dataset allowance system. All the changes on the credit/debit information can be made upon checkout.

For users in the image and dataset allowance system, if credit card information is removed and is not present for the next billing period, the auto-renewal of the subscription will not take place. The plan will be canceled. The plan can be restarted anytime, and no charges will be applied.

Are Cloud data accessible after the subscription is canceled?

Data are retained on PIX4Dcloud for 60 days after the subscription ends. The access to view all of the previously created 2D maps and 3D models is guaranteed during this period. After the 60 days, the data is deleted. Subscribing to a paid plan within this 60-day window will reactivate all features and remove the expiry date from the projects and data. How do I change my subscription from PIX4Dcloud to PIX4Dcloud Advanced?

In order to change a user's subscription from PIX4Dcloud to PIX4Dcloud Advanced, a user will need to cancel the current PIX4Dcloud subscription and then purchase a new PIX4Dcloud Advanced subscription. Alternatively, the user can also contact our Sales Department for assistance.

How do I switch from a monthly subscription to an annual subscription?

In order to switch from the monthly license to the annual license, the user will need to cancel the current monthly subscription and then purchase a new annual subscription. Alternatively, the user can contact our Sales Department for assistance.

    We are a little confused about the billing and wanted to clear it up. We recently noticed we started to get billed for the Yearly subscription but didn't do it intentionally. However, we are interested in starting the yearly billing and according to the webpage we are on the Yearly cycle. But we just receive an invoice for a monthly charge of the standard $350. Can you help us understand which subscription cycle we are currently on? and if we need to make any adjustment to get on to the yearly please provide us with any details?

    ROBERTO MORAN You will need to log out of the software. When in log in again, there will be a list of licenses, you will need to choose your license from there and log in.

    When I log in to the iPad app it says no license is found even though I just purchased a subscription for pix4d cloud. How do I fix this? I need to use the app

    I can see your license in our system. You need to log in to Pix4Dcloud with your username and password. Let us know if this gives you any problems. If so, please send us a screenshot of the error message by contacting us here.

    To modify the results(volume) generated using the Pix4Dmapper desktop version, you need to have a valid license. The Pix4Ddiscovery mode won't let you make those changes.
