How to create a new project - PIX4Dfields
New project
To create a new project:
1. On the dashboard, click + New Project or the “plus” symbol at the bottom right corner of the window.
2. Click NEW PROJECT to create a new empty project. A new window with a background satellite image appears displaying either the default location or where the last project was processed.
3. Click the pen symbol beside the default name of the project to rename the project.
Open project
To open an existing project:
1. On the dashboard, all the projects will be visible.
2. Click on the desired project, and this will open.
Recent project
To open the most recent project, select it from the dashboard.
Where are projects stored?
Projects are saved/stored in the Data Storage Folder. To access it:
1- Go to Settings on the top-right:
2- Click on the Data storage folder to see where the projects are stored.
- All projects and files generated will be stored in this folder. Several file types will be present
- To modify the storage location of your projects, select a different folder in the Data storage folder settings. Changing your data storage folder will not move existing projects to the new location.
- To move projects, please read: How to manage projects.
The default locations are:
For Windows: C:\Users\USERNAME\Pix4Dfields
For Mac: Users/USERNAME/Pix4Dfields/Data
Example use cases
To download a demo dataset/example use case,
1. Open PIX4Dfields.
2. At the bottom of the dashboard under EXAMPLES click either RGB example or Multispectral example to download sample datasets.
