A credit balance system is applied to PIX4Dcatch projects for processing on PIX4Dcloud / PIX4Dcloud Advanced. Credits are based on the number of pixels processed determined by the resolution and number of images processed.

PIX4Dcatch to PIX4Dcloud / PIX4Dcloud Advanced credit balance system

PIX4Dcatch projects are calculated in credits computed by the number of images and their resolution. This will be calculated and displayed in the PIX4Dcatch app to inform of the credit cost before uploading to PIX4Dcloud / PIX4Dcloud Advanced.

How to Calculate PIX4Dcatch Projects in Credits

Credits = Image resolution in MP * number of images /100.

The image resolution is measured in megapixels by multiplying its width and height.

The PIX4Dcatch default resolution is 2.7MP. Higher resolutions will vary according to the device and can be calculated separately.

Upload to PIX4Dcloud / Project Cost and Account Balance

When uploading to PIX4Dcloud / PIX4Dcloud Advanced, the Project Cost and Account Balance field informs the number of credits needed to process the project along with the credits available.

Uploading a project with sufficient credits

With sufficient credits, tap Upload to process as usual. An email will be sent informing of the upload, along with an email indicating when the project has finished processing.

Uploading a project with insufficient credits

If there is an insufficient amount of credits available to process a project, an alert will appear along with two options.

With insufficient credits, there are two options to choose from:

  • Upload anyway. This option allows the upload to PIX4Dcloud and holds processing (while there is a valid PIX4Dcloud / PIX4Dcloud Advance license) until sufficient credits are added to the account. The project will be tagged Waiting for Capacity to indicate this status in the Project list.
  • Cancel. This option cancels the upload, and the project will remain saved to the mobile device.

 

How to purchase more credits

A certain number of credits will be provided based on the PIX4Dcloud / PIX4Dcloud Advanced subscription. When these run out, it will be necessary to purchase more to process further projects in PIX4Dcloud / PIX4Dcloud Advanced.

Additional credit bundles can be purchased from the PIX4Dcloud / PIX4Dcloud Advanced account page. To access:

  1. Open and log into PIX4Dcloud / PIX4Dcloud Advanced.

  2. Click the Account icon (with initial) and select Plans and products from the dropdown menu.

  3. Select Credit transactions from the menu.
  4. Select the appropriate package. A calculator is provided to assist in this determination as needed.

With additional credits it will be possible to commence processing any projects that were put on hold.
