How to use a discrete graphics card (Windows 10 and Windows 11) - PIX4Dmatic

Using a discrete graphics card can be beneficial for several PIX4Dmatic processes and leads to better performances in processing and a more responsive user interface.

It is recommended to enable PIX4Dmatic to use the real graphic card on your Windows device by following these steps:

  • Open the Settings of your device (menu Start > Gear symbol

  • Scroll down to the bottom of the Display settings page and click Graphics settings
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the Display settings page and click Graphics
  • Make sure that Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling is set to On

  • Click on Change default graphics settings
  • Make sure that Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling is set to On

  • If PIX4Dmatic is not in the provided list, select Desktop app, click on Browse, and select PIX4Dmatic.exe, which should be located in C:\Program Files\PIX4Dmatic\
  •  If PIX4Dmatic is not in the provided list, select Desktop app, click on Browse, and select PIX4Dmatic.exe, which should be located in C:\Program Files\PIX4Dmatic\
  • Click on the newly added PIX4Dmatic and then click on Options and then select High performance2024-06-27_12-20-24

 

  • Click on the newly added PIX4Dmatic and then click on Options and then select High performance2024-06-27_12-20-24
Click Save. Click Save.
PIX4Dmatic is now listed as using the High-performance preference.  PIX4Dmatic is now listed as using the High-performance preference.
