Depth point cloud
The depth point cloud is generated from LiDAR depth maps.
Access:
- Click Processing options
.
- On the Menu bar, click Process > Depth point cloud...
Important: Available only with PIX4Dcatch projects that contain LiDAR depth maps.
We recommend using it:
- To get a quick overview of the project. The depth point cloud generation is relatively fast compared to the Calibrate and Dense point cloud step but still gives a good overview if the data acquisition is good.
- To combine it with the dense point cloud to get a more complete fused point cloud. More information can be found the Depth and Dense fusion article.
