Who can access the trial?
Both new and existing Pix4D accounts are eligible for a 15-day free trial subscription to PIX4Dmatic
Important: To request a trial license for PIX4Dmatic, the user must have either the Owner or Manager role within the organization. Trial requests are not permitted for users with Member, Reader, or Editor roles. For additional details, please consult the following article:

Steps to activate the trial
- Download and Install PIX4Dmatic. Visit the Pix4D downloads page to download the latest version of PIX4Dmatic. Install the application on a compatible system.
- Launch the Application. Open PIX4Dmatic. On the home screen, select the Start trial
button located in the upper-right corner. -
Account Log in or Registration.

New users will be prompted to register for a free Pix4D account.

Existing users can log in using their current Pix4D credentials.

- Select the Organization where the trial will start and click Continue.
- Select the desired license plan (Analyst, Standard, or Pro) to use after the trial period is over, and click Start free trial.
- Select the payment method that will be used once the trial ends. Enter the necessary information and click Start trial.
- An email confirming the start of the trial will be sent.

The 15-day trial will begin immediately upon successful sign-in.
Note: PIX4Dmatic Pro features remain fully accessible throughout the 15-day trial regardless of the plan you choose. Feature access will adjust to your selected plan only after the trial expires.

App Synchronization & Licensing
The way the trial license syncs depends on whether the desktop application is closed during the web-based registration flow:
- If PIX4Dmatic remains open: When you return to the app, you will be prompted to open the Orgs & Licenses dialog to manually select your trial license (which will feature a "New" tag).
- If PIX4Dmatic was closed: The trial license will automatically apply during your next login. You will not need to navigate the Orgs & Licenses dialog.

The user will receive an onboarding email with useful links and the training email with access to the free training course
Upcoming charge reminder
7 days before expiration
An automated email is sent to remind you that your payment method will be charged in one week.
Account management options
3 days before expiration
An email will be sent with instructions for managing or upgrading the subscription, including a cancellation link. If the subscription is canceled, full access to PIX4Dmatic will remain available until the end of the original 15-day trial period.
Trial ends
Day 15
An email containing the payment invoice is sent. If the Analyst or Standard plan was selected during initial setup, access to Pro features will be restricted unless the sales team is contacted to upgrade.
