      Long processing time with Xeon v3 processors - PIX4Dcloud

      Error

      Long processing time with Xeon v3 processors.

      Description

      When processing projects with Xeon v3 processors such as, but not limited to, the Intel Xeon CPU E5-2630 v3 or the Intel Xeon CPU E5-2687W v3, processing times are significantly longer than expected.

      Workaround

      The following steps can alleviate the problem:

      • Update motherboard BIOS
      • Update chipset driver
      • Disable hyperthreading
      • Update GPU driver (crucial)

      Recent investigation point to this issue being linked to a setting for the Quadro driver. If you are affected by this issue, please try to change those settings and inform us if processing times improve: Long Processing Time for Step 3 with Quadro GPUs.
