How to move a PIX4Dmapper license to another computer - PIX4Dmapper
It is possible to work with PIX4Dmapper on several devices as long as the number of license seats is not exceeded.
Note: Your Pix4D license is a floating license, so you can log out of PIX4Dmapper on one computer and log in to PIX4Dmapper on another. You do not need to uninstall PIX4Dmapper to move your Pix4D license from one computer to another.
Example: In the following example, a user wants to use PIX4Dmapper with one seat license on two different devices (device A and device B).
- Starting situation. The user is logged in with PIX4Dmapper on their device A.
- Log out from the user account in PIX4Dmapper (How to log out - PIX4Dmapper) on the device A. This will release the device from your license, making it available again for use on other devices.
- Start the device B and install PIX4Dmapper (Software Download and Installation - PIX4Dmapper). Note: This step can be skipped if PIX4Dmapper is already installed.
- Log in with your user account in PIX4Dmapper (How to log in - PIX4Dmapper) on the device B.
Important: During this procedure, there should be an active internet connection. Otherwise the license server cannot be updated and the license cannot be made available for other devices.
Tip: It is not necessary to have physical access to the device where you want to log out if the Remote device deactivation feature is active.
Important: Each Pix4D license includes a certain number of seats. Each license seat can activate a computer. Learn about the total number of license seats included with each Pix4D license: Floating license - PIX4Dmapper.
