PIX4Dmapper includes a remote device deactivation feature allowing a device to be deactivated remotely. This feature can be used to deactivate inaccessible devices occupying a seat on the license. This feature will come automatically enabled with all new PIX4Dmapper licenses, older licenses will have to enable this feature manually.

Enable remote device deactivation
New PIX4Dmapper licenses will have the Remote device deactivation option enabled by default. Previously acquired PIX4Dmapper licenses will have to enable this feature manually.
To enable the Remote device deactivation feature:
- Open PIX4Dmapper.
- Log out of PIX4Dmapper from all active devices. For more information see How to log out PIX4Dmapper.
- Go to the Licenses panel.
- In the PIX4Dmapper license, next to the Remote device deactivation, click Enable now.

- Now launch PIX4Dmapper again.
How to deactivate a device remotely
Once the Remote device deactivation feature is enabled, a device can be deactivated remotely as needed.
To remotely deactivate a computer:
- Go to the Licenses panel.
- Identify the PIX4Dmapper license and the seat that needs deactivation.
- In the Active devices section, click Deactivate
.

I have gone ahead and deactivated the device you requested. There should now be a free seat on this license that you can use with another device. Please note that beginning with version 4.0.11 Pix4D desktop, you have the ability to remotely deactivate a device from the administrator portal of your Pix4D account. You can read about that on the top of this page.
Dear Pix4D support team:
Currently, I have a problem when trying to deactivate remotly a device. The attached image shows the problem.
The issue is, previously, appeared an icon like a trash bin at "Deactivate" field, and, the only thing that I had to do was click on it in order to deactivate a license.
Now, this icon dissapeared and I don´t know how to solve this problem. I also realized that there is a new message that says "Never" on "Device Deactivation" field (please, see the image).

Estimado Kapil, en el cuadro de administrador de licencias solo da la opción de desactivar una maquina que este con internet y a la vez con la sesión apagada, aun no logro ver la utilidad de esta opción, en mi caso como capacitador necesitamos activar y desactivar la licencia en mas de 04 maquinas de manera constante, y ahora que una de ellas (la principal) le hemos formateado se quedó la licencia activada, el cuadro de administrador de licencias no me permite liberar esa maquina.
Este caso es muy común en nuestros clientes, y para solucionarlo siempre hay que contactar con los de soporte técnico, si bien es cierto que funcionan muy bien, pero debería ser algo que uno mismo debería poder solucionar.

Ya me he ocupado de su caso.
Para aclarar, si desea tener la opción de desactivar su dispositivo desde Internet, debe cerrar la sesión para hacer el cambio y luego volver a iniciar sesión. Luego funcionará.

I have already deactivated the device remotely. You should be able to use it on the new device.

When I deactivate a device remotely. It is gone in the licence manager list.
But when I start pix4d on this device, it does not request a login. It just starts like nothing happend and it pops back up in the license manager. Even if I change the password in the meantime.
Is there a way that we can make them login again, as this is helpfull to keep overview on which of our students is using it.

No we did not installed it that way, this is because the students use it on their personal computer to follow the course. But I want to make sure at the end of the course they cannot get acces to the software anymore.
So what I tried is to deactivate the computer in the list and even change the password, but the software keep starting up without a promp to login.
