Annotations in PIX4Dcatch
PIX4Dcatch, the mobile application tailored for capturing geospatial information, offers an impressive capability that simplifies the process of recording field observations instantly: Detailed Annotations.
What are Detailed Annotations?
Detailed Annotations add contextual information directly to a PIX4Dcatch project. Each annotation can include:
- Title: A short label for the observation.
- Description: Additional details or notes.
- Photo: Captured on the spot or uploaded from the device’s photo gallery.
Each annotation is georeferenced and automatically uploaded together with the project, ensuring that field observations remain synchronized with the rest of the dataset.
Requirements
- Available only on iPhone Pro models featuring LIDAR capabilities.
- A valid PIX4Dcatch Professional License.
Using Annotations
Annotations can be created in two ways:
During capture
When a capture is running, annotations can be created in real time. Images are automatically captured in the background. For more information: Annotations during capture in PIX4Dcatch
After capture
Once the capture is saved, annotations can be added to enrich the dataset with additional observations or images.. For more information: Detailed Annotations - PIX4Dcatch.
