Reconstruction Quality Survey in PIX4Dcloud

PIX4Dcloud may display a survey asking for feedback about the quality of a dataset’s reconstructions. This survey helps PIX4D understand how well results meet expectations and informs ongoing improvements to all PIX4D products.

 When the survey appears 

 The survey appears as a pop-up 45 seconds after a qualifying dataset is opened. 

 Note: If the survey is closed or dismissed, it will not reappear for that dataset. 

Conditions for the survey to appear 

The survey appears when all of the following conditions are met:

  • Photogrammetry data sharing is enabled for the organization.
  • The dataset
    • Is accessed as an Editor, Manager, or Owner.
    • Contains images and reconstructions generated using PIX4Dcloud.
    • Was processed within the last 30 days.
  • The PIX4Dcloud interface language is set to English.
  • The survey has not been closed for the dataset.

 Troubleshooting: survey does not appear 

If the survey does not appear after 45 seconds of opening a dataset, verify each of the following:

  1. Photogrammetry data sharing is enabled for the organization. If it is not, an Owner or Manager can enable it in the organization’s settings.
  2. The dataset is accessed with at least Editor permissions. The survey does not appear when accessing a dataset as a Reader.
  3. The dataset is accessed without using a share link. The survey does not appear when accessing a dataset with a share link.
  4. The dataset includes images and reconstructions generated by PIX4Dcloud. The survey does not appear if the dataset was not processed using PIX4Dcloud.
  5. The dataset was processed within the last 30 days. The survey does not appear for datasets processed further in the past.
  6. The PIX4Dcloud interface language is set to English. The survey does not appear if the language is set to other languages.
  7. The survey has already been completed. The survey does not appear again for a dataset if it has already been submitted.
  8. The survey has not been dismissed for the dataset. The survey does not appear again for a dataset if it has been dismissed.
    • If the survey was dismissed in one dataset, it may not appear in other datasets. To restore the survey across all eligible datasets, clear PIX4Dcloud's local storage data in your browser. In Chrome or Edge:
      1. Open Developer Tools (F12).
      2. Select:
        1. Application.
        2. Local Storage.
        3. PIX4Dcloud’s domain, https://cloud.pix4d.com/drive.
      3. Delete the keys starting with @pix4d/refiner/surveys.
      4. Reload PIX4Dcloud.

Tip: After confirming all conditions above are met, open a dataset and wait 45 seconds before concluding that the survey is not available.
