How to attach an image to an annotation in PIX4Dcloud

Licenses: This article is valid for PIX4Dcloud Pro licenses (formerly PIX4Dcloud Advanced).

Roles: Only Owners, Managers, and Editors can attach an image to an annotation in a datasets in PIX4Dcloud.

PIX4Dcloud supports two types of images associated with annotations:

An image that is manually uploaded and attached to an annotation. Image attachments can be added from:

These images are visible in the viewer and can be included in annotation reports.

A screenshot is automatically generated when an annotation is created in PIX4Dcloud. This screenshot:

When an annotation is selected, the right-hand panel displays:

Information:

The screenshot included in the annotation PDF report is generated automatically at annotation creation time.
If an image is attached manually (for example, from PIX4Dcatch), it is also included in the annotation report.
For projects created before the release of annotation reports, or for annotations not created in PIX4Dcloud (for example, imported from external files or from PIX4Dsurvey), no screenshot is generated.

(This functionality applies to manually attached images)

To enlarge or download an attached image:

Select an annotation in the viewer.
In the right panel, click on the image that was attached in PIX4Dcatch:
The image will be enlarged:
Click Download to save the image locally, or Close to return to the project.

Create an annotation in PIX4Dcloud.
Once created, an automatic screenshot is generated and displayed in the right-hand panel (PIX4Dcloud Pro only).
To add or replace a manually attached image, click Add/Replace image at the top of the annotation properties panel.
Select the image file to upload.

Note: Only manually attached images can be deleted or replaced. Automatically generated screenshots cannot be removed.
