How PIX4Dmatic software communicates with third-parties via internet

PIX4Dmatic communicates with external software and services over the internet to support specific functionality.

The following connections may occur:

• PIX4Dmatic communicates with PIX4D servers for license validation and to check for updates.
• Optional communication occurs if (and only if) the user chooses to upload or download data to/from PIX4Dcloud. The storage of the PIX4Dcloud project files is on Amazon S3, the region can be selected by the user in the Organization setting > Organization details.

• Usage statistics are collected through Pix4D servers and processed by Mixpanel in a GDPR compliant manner.

  • This can be anonymized by the user (account privacy settings), but not turned off.

  • Mixpanel data is anonymous by default
• The latest version of PIX4Dmatic uses Maptiler as the provider for background map tiles.
  
  • This can be turned off. The visualization in 2D view can be enable or disable from the Content panel.
