PIX4Dcloud - External Communication and Third-Party Services

This article outlines how PIX4Dcloud communicates with external servers and third-party services. This information is frequently required for security questionnaires, firewall configurations, and compliance with corporate IT policies.

Overview

PIX4Dcloud is a cloud-based platform that requires internet connectivity for user authentication, data processing, and visualization. While we prioritize data security, we utilize specific third-party services to ensure technical stability, provide base maps, and manage automated communications.

For a comprehensive and up-to-date list of all third-party entities involved in processing data, please refer to our official List of Sub-processors.

Third-Party Services Used by PIX4Dcloud

Integrations and External Transfers

PIX4Dcloud allows users to manually export or transfer project outputs to external platforms. These connections are only established if initiated by the user:

  • Trimble Connect: Direct transfer of outputs to the Trimble ecosystem.

  • ArcGIS Online: Integration for spatial data management.

Privacy and Data Control

At PIX4D, we prioritize the security of your data.

  • Anonymization: Usage statistics collected through Mixpanel can be anonymized via your PIX4D Account Privacy Settings.

  • Crash Reports: Reports sent to Sentry or Firebase are stripped of personal identifying information and are used strictly for debugging purposes.

  • Firewall Exceptions: If your organization uses a strict firewall, ensure that traffic to *.pix4d.com and the third-party endpoints mentioned above is whitelisted on ports 80 and 443.

  • Legal Documentation: You can find the full list of sub-processors and legal terms at pix4d.com/legal.
