Error e0709: "The date/time of your computer is incorrect"

Error

The full name of the error is "e0709: The date/time of your computer is incorrect. Set your computer to the correct date/time to use the software."

Cause

The error e0709 appears when PIX4Dmapper detects a discrepancy between the computer’s system time and the expected local time. The clock may appear correct while the configured time zone is incorrect; for example, when an equivalent UTC offset is selected instead of the named time zone for the computer’s location. The error can also result from clock drift or synchronization issues with a network or domain time source. This prevents PIX4Dmapper from validating the computer’s time during startup or sign-in.

Solution

  1. Open the Windows Settings and go to Time & language > Date & time.

  2. Under Time zone, select the named time zone that matches your physical location. Do not select only an equivalent UTC offset. For example, if you are located in the Pacific time zone, select Pacific Time rather than a UTC-based option with the same offset.
  3. Enable automatic time setting, then select Sync now to synchronize the computer’s clock.
  4. Relaunch PIX4Dmapper and try signing in again.

If the error persists, verify that the computer’s time is not being reset by a network or domain time source. If this still doesn't solve the problem, try the other solutions presented in this article: Server error, cannot login. Error e07xx family - PIX4Dmapper.
