Troubleshooting

Proxy-firewall configuration - PIX4Dsurvey

If a proxy server is being used or a firewall is in place, some exceptions need to be configured to allow the traffic between the device on which PIX4Dsurvey is being used and Pix4D and AWS (Amazon Web Servers).

The allowed traffic should include a rule with the following exceptions:

Ports

  • 443 for HTTPS communication.

Domains

It is best to authorize the root Pix4D and AWS levels and any sub-domain as follows:

  • *.pix4d.com
    • cloud.pix4d.com,
    • account.pix4d.com,
    • api.account.pix4d.com,
    • webgis.pix4d.com,
  • prod-pix4d-*.s3.amazonaws.com,
  • prod-pix4d-*.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com:
    • prod-pix4d-cloud-default.s3.amazonaws.com,
    • prod-pix4d-cloud-default.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com,
    • prod-pix4d-cloud-eu-central-1.s3.amazonaws.com,
    • prod-pix4d-cloud-eu-central-1.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com,
    • prod-pix4d-cloud-kkc.s3.amazonaws.com,
    • prod-pix4d-cloud-kkc.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com,
    • prod-pix4d-private-cloud-kr-ap-northeast-2.s3.amazonaws.com,
    • prod-pix4d-private-cloud-kr-ap-northeast-2.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com.

Tip:  The full list of domains is optional. This setup will work correctly, even if only the three main domain names listed are used.

  • *.pix4d.com
  • prod-pix4d-*.s3.amazonaws.com
  • prod-pix4d-*.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com
