How to delete a line or polygon vertex on PIX4Dcloud

This article explains how to remove a vertex from a line, polygon, or the base surface of a volume annotation in PIX4Dcloud. Editing vertices allows users to refine annotation geometry directly in the viewer for more accurate measurements and visualizations.

Licenses: This article is valid for PIX4Dcloud Starter and PIX4Dcloud Pro licenses (formerly PIX4Dcloud Advanced).

Roles: Only Owners, Managers, and Editors can permanently modify annotations in a  datasets in PIX4Dcloud.

To delete a vertex from an existing annotation, follow these steps:

  1. Open the project in PIX4Dcloud 
  2. Click select_vertex_PIX4Dcloud.png in the vertical toolbar in the viewer.
  3. Click the line, polygon, or base surface that needs to be modified.
  4. Left-click and drag the vertex that needs to be deleted to an adjacent vertex.
  5. Release when a red circle appears.
    This indicates that the vertex has been deleted and the geometry has been updated.
