Using a discrete graphics card can be beneficial for several PIX4Dmatic processes and leads to better performances in processing and a more responsive user interface.
We suggest enabling PIX4Dmatic to use the real graphic card on your Windows device. Please proceed with the following steps:
For Windows 10
- Open the settings of your device (menu Start > Gear symbol).
- Click on System.
- Make sure Display is selected in the left sidebar.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the Display settings page and click Graphics settings.
- Make sure that Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling is set to On and click on. You might need to restart your device if you just enabled the Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling.
- If PIX4Dmatic is not in the provided list, select Desktop app, click on Browse, and select PIX4Dmatic.exe, which should be located in C:\Program Files\PIX4Dmatic\.
- Click on the newly added PIX4Dmatic and then click on Options and then select High performance.
- Click Save.
- PIX4Dmatic is now listed as using the High performance preference.
For Windows 11
- Open the settings of your device (menu Start > Gear symbol).
- Click on System.
- Click on Display.
- On the Display page, scroll down and click on Graphics under the Related settings.
- Click on Change default graphics settings under the Default settings.
- Make sure that the Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling switch is set to On. You might need to restart your device if you just enabled the Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling.
- Go back to Graphics and if PIX4Dmatic is not in the provided list, select Desktop app, click on Browse, and select PIX4Dmatic.exe, which should be located in C:\Program Files\PIX4Dmatic\.
- Click on the newly added PIX4Dmatic and then click on Options and then select High performance.
- Click Save.
- PIX4Dmatic is now listed as using the High performance preference.
