Which image acquisition app can I use with Pix4D's software?

Pix4D's software is image acquisition app agnostic. That means PIX4Dmapper, PIX4Dcloud, PIX4Dmatic, PIX4Dreact, and PIX4Dfields can process images taken from any application as long as they are of good quality and overlap.

Note

PIX4Dcapture Pro will be retired on July 31, 2025, and has already been removed from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Starting from August 1, 2025, PIX4Dcapture Pro will not be supported anymore.

PIX4Dcapture (legacy) was retired in October 2023. PIX4Dcapture is not supported anymore.

Alternative Solutions:

Pix4D's software is image acquisition app agnostic. This means PIX4Dmatic, PIX4Dcloud, PIX4Dmapper, PIX4Dreact, and PIX4Dfields can process images taken from any application, as long as they are of good quality and have sufficient overlap.

  • PIX4Dcatch is a free mobile application for ground 3D scans from iOS and Android devices. For more information: FAQ - PIX4Dcatch.

In addition to PIX4Dcatch, many third-party image acquisition applications can be used to capture images and then process them using Pix4D software.

For further information about the applications and their reliability, we recommend reaching out to their development teams, forums, and other users who have experience with them.
