How to export Pix4Dcatch projects

The image captured in a Pix4Dcatch Project can be exported from the device. The exported image files can then be processed using Pix4Dmapper or manually uploaded to Pix4Dcloud for processing.

 
Note: The images can only be exported using the valid Pix4Dmapper license(OTC, monthly, and yearly). Similarly, the Pix4Dcloud licenses(Pix4Dcloud and Pix4Dcloud Advanced) can only upload the images directly to the cloud. 

Export using an external drive

  1. Connect the device to the external Flash drive.
     
    Tip: The iXpand flash drive/Type-C flash drive can be directly connected to the deviceWhen using the USB flash drive, use the Lightning to USB Adapter or USB-C to USB Adapter according to your device input port to connect them.
  2. Launch the Pix4Dcatch app.
  3. In the Home screen, tap Group_30.png and select the project.
  4. Tap  mceclip0.png to export the files.

  5. The new window with sharing options will appear. Tap Save to Files.

  6. The list of the hardware to export will appear. Select the external drive and tap Save.
  7. Use the external drive to copy the project to the computer. 

Export using Google Drive or other file sharing options

 
Note: The below steps can also be used to share the images by using file-sharing options such as Dropbox, Box, Microsoft OneDrive, and so on.
Apple's AirDrop can be used to directly transfer the images from iPhone/iPad to the Mac. 
  1. Launch the Pix4Dcatch app.
  2. In the Home screen, tap Group_30.png and select the project.
  3. Tap mceclip0.png

  4. The new window with sharing options such as AirDrop, Email, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.. will appear. Tap on Google Drive.

  5. Tap on Select Folder to select the destination folder. After selecting the destination folder, tap Upload.

  6. The project is saved as a compressed file. Download the file and use the file extractor such as 7-Zip to extract it. You can also use the online Zip Extractor to extract the files in the Google drive. 
    • Right Click on the Project > Open with > ZIP Extracto > Capture.JPG.

    • After the extraction is completed, click mceclip0.png to access the extracted files.
