PIX4Dscan is a professional asset flight application developed by photogrammetry experts for visual inspections from images, and is available for tablets and mobile devices with iOS and Android operating systems. This companion of PIX4Dinspect allows for both manual and automatic drone flights (Cell Tower, Orbit, Cylinder, and Grid), to meet your mission’s specific needs and to collect actionable data.
PIX4Dscan provides two versions: Inspection and Inspection-Telecom.
The Inspection version contains functionalities used to perform general scanning and inspection of structures. The Inspection-Telecom version contains the additional functionality aimed at scanning and inspecting cell towers.
PIX4Dscan provides four mission types: Cell Tower Asset and Orbit, Cylinder, and Grid missions.
The Cell Tower asset is a flight mission specifically designed to optimize the scanning of cell towers and it is available only with the Inspection-Telecom version. The Cell Tower mission will enable the 3D reconstruction and visual inspection of cell tower structures and antennas with the highest level of detail. The Cell Tower asset is a flight mission specifically intended for scanning cell towers. The Cell Tower mission aims to efficiently capture the components and geometries by applying multiple 3D Model and visual inspection missions: Helix, Orbit, Cylinder, Single vertical, Underneath orbit, Orbit line of sight, and Manual images.

The Cell Tower asset contains the recommended workflow for scanning such structures. For the mission planning, the cell tower lowest point, center, and highest point need to be manually identified in the field. The mission is then created in relation to the measured position of these references.

PIX4Dscan is available in the following languages: English, French, Japanese, Spanish, and Portuguese.
PIX4Dscan is currently supported on iOS and Android tablets, and mobile devices. Pix4Dscan requires iOS 13 / Android 7 or later. We recommend using the latest OS version as it is usually the one used for internal testing. PIX4Dscan has been tested with the following devices:
- iOS: iPad Mini 5th gen, iPad Pro 2nd gen, iPad 7th gen, iPad Air 2, iPhone 13 Pro Max.
- Android: Samsung Galaxy Tab A7, Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, Samsung Tab Es 15, Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, Lenovo Tab M10 Fhd Plus.
