Outputs of PIX4Dsurvey

PIX4Dsurvey can generate the following outputs which can be exported for use with third-party software:

Output Extension Description
3D vectorized objects .dxf, .shp, .geojson, .zip (with .shp files) Polylines, catenaries, polygons, and markers. The placement of objects in layers is preserved.
Grid of points .dxf, .shp, geojson, .zip (with .shp files) Grid of points generated with the Grid of points algorithm.
TIN .xml TIN in LandXML format.
Information: The actual coordinate values of exported geometries are in the coordinate system used in PIX4Dsurvey. When using the same coordinate system in PIX4Dsurvey and in third-party software, the outputs should automatically align.

Since the coordinate system is not directly defined in the .dxf format, an additional file (.prj) containing the coordinate system definition is automatically created. The .prj file can be used as a reference whenever additional information about the .dxf's coordinate system is needed.

Tip: It is possible to export outputs in a single .zip file that contains .shp, .shx, .dbf, and .prj files. Some third-party software support importing a single .zip file that contains multiple files instead of importing each file individually.
