  • TIN (Triangular Irregular Network) generation. Creation of a TIN using terrain layers and grid of points.
  • Terrain layer, a new vector layer concept that contains objects that will be used as part of the TIN.
  • The size and color of the points in the grid of points can be adjusted.
  • The size of points in each point cloud can be individually adjusted.
  • Color changes apply instantly.

Bug fixes and improvements:

  • Fixed issue with .bpc files creation for projects with long names.
  • The last folder path is selected as the default project folder.
  • Support for projects with left-handed coordinate systems.

SWEREF99 TM (EPSG 3006), JGD2011 / Japan Plane Rectangular series (EPSG 6669 and following). We recommend to not work with such coordinate systems and use their UTM equivalents instead. Known issues

  • Left-handed coordinate systems are not supported. Left-handed coordinate systems have the horizontal axes defined in the order Northing-Easting, instead of Easting-Northing. E.g. SWEREF99 TM (EPSG 3006), JGD2011 / Japan Plane Rectangular series (EPSG 6669 and following). We recommend to not work with such coordinate systems and use their UTM equivalents instead.
  • If Pix4Dsurvey 1.0.6 is installed, it needs to be manually uninstalled to install Pix4Dsurvey 1.0.7 on Windows.
  • Very large point clouds may crash the software when using the Terrain filter process. Fixed in 1.1.0.
  • If all point clouds are hidden, the Terrain filter process is disabled, although the Input point cloud parameter is set to AllFixed in 1.1.0.
  • Some proxies that need authentication with username/password might not work. Fixed in 1.1.0.
  • Coordinates are not displayed for the Never classified points. Fixed in 1.1.0.

  • Pix4Dmatic compatibility. Pix4Dmatic projects can be imported in Pix4Dsurvey.

Known issues

  • Pix4Dsurvey is crashing when closing the project tab. The crash only happens on Windows 10 devices with the Windows Update KB4551762 for Windows versions 1903 and 1909. Fixed in 1.0.1.
  • On macOS, the app sometimes crashes when the app is closed by right-clicking on the icon of the app in the dock and selecting Quit.
