How to correct the 3D Textured Mesh in 3DS Max

To visualize the 3D Textured Mesh in 3ds Max:

  1. On the Menu bar click Open > Import.
  2. In the Select File to Import window under Files of type select from the drop down list either:
         Autodesk (*.FBX) to import the .fbx 3D Textured Mesh file or 
         gw::OBJ-Importer (*.OBJ) to import the .obj 3D Textured Mesh file. 
  3. Click Open.
  4. In the Import Options window click Import.
  5. In each window, there are visualization options in the left top corner. 
  6. Switch from Default shading to Flat color.
  7. In visualization options, edit the Lighting and shadows and select Illuminate with Scene Lights.

 

To render the Textured mesh using the Material editor:

  1. Drag and drop the 3D Textured Mesh .fbx file in the main view of AutoCAD 3ds Max. 
  2. Click the icon Material Editor: 
  3. Click Texture Standard.

4. Double click on the Texture Standard window and set Self Illumination=100.

5. On the Menu bar select Rendering and click Render the texture
