Supported drones, cameras and controllers

The status of Pix4Dcapture regarding the different drones, cameras, and controllers is described in the table below. When the app has not been tested, it means that the app could work but Pix4D makes no guarantee.

Information: If a Non-DJI camera is mounted on DJI drones, Pix4Dcapture will not be able to trigger the camera. Making it work will rely on the fact that a timelapse can be set in this custom camera. A specific functionality has been developed on iOS to keep the right overlap up to the camera specifications. More information here.

Recommendations to fly a drone that was not tested

The drone to be selected before starting a mission should be one of those having the same connection mode (Wi-Fi or USB cable).

Tip: The following drones are not officially supported by Pix4Dcapture. However, you may be able to fly your mission if you select the appropriate settings in Pix4Dcapture:
  • DJI Phantom 3 4K: Select Phantom 3 Advanced or Professional in Pix4Dcapture's settings.
  • DJI Phantom 4 Advanced: Select Phantom 4 Pro in Pix4Dcapture's settings.
  • DJI Matrice 600: Select Matrice 100 in Pix4Dcapture's settings.

    Bonjour,

    Cordialement

Hello! I have a question about camera angle on my P3A drone. In Pix4Capture I don't know where I can change camera angle for example in circular missions. Camera set by 80 degrees, but I need a less value. In "eStarting manual describes what a value angle set by 45 degree and 30 degree. How can i do this?

This is the picture from your "Getting started.." - So I can't do this. Can I change camera angle or this is goinf on automatically?

    Hello Dmitry,

The tilting angle of the camera can not be set for circular missions. It is implemented so that the camera will face the center of the mission, looking at the ground all the time.
For other missions, the tilting angle can be set in the settings.
You can have a look at the different parameters for Android or iOS.

    @Mavic Reklamasi,

The live video feed for the Mavic 2 Pro has not been implemented on the Android version of Pix4Dcapture. It is then normal that you will see a black screen when looking at it.

When will be implemented on mavic 2 pro? Is iOS support for live video on pix4d capture?

  • Gaël (Pix4D)

    Hi Mavic Reklamasi,

Currently, the video live feed is not working for the Mavic 2 Pro using the iOS version of Pix4Dcapture. It is a known issue that will be fixed in the next release.
For the Android version of Pix4Dcapture, I can not give you any timeline when/if it will be implemented.

    Hi.
I have mavic 2 zoom, and the app works fine. why table contains information, that is mavic 2 is not supported?

  • Gaël (Pix4D)

    Hi,

The Mavic 2 Zoom is not officially supported by Pix4Dcapture as we did not test it with our app. It might work with it but we make no guarantee. Also, as it is a zoom drone, the focal length might change during an acquisition and impact the image process and outputs afterward.

Will Pix4D support the mavic mini in the future?

  • Gaël (Pix4D)

    Hi Keegan,

So far this drone has just been released so we need to evaluate if we will support it with Pix4Dcapture. In any case, DJI needs to provide an SDK that would enable third-party apps like Pix4Dcapture to be able to support the Mavic Mini, which is not the case for the moment.

Hello, I would like to know if mavic mini will be supported by Pixel4D? I'm interested in using the drone for mappings.

Don't hesitate to open a thread on our community to talk about this topic.

Has there been any additional insight as to when we could expect functionality with the Matrice V2 Series aircraft? Considering its versatility, I can not believe that it has not been added as a priority for compatibility. Is Pix4D just not going to work with the Enterprise platforms?
