Error

Error e0068: "Verify if the original images have been rotated. It is recommended not to rotate the images, as this negatively affects the reconstruction."

Description

When importing the images in a new project in a 3DR edition of Pix4Dmapper, the following error message appears:

Error e0068: "Verify if the original images have been rotated. It is recommended not to rotate the images, as this negatively affects the reconstruction."

Cause

This error may come from:

  • One or all the images are rotated.

Important: It is not recommended to rotate or edit the original images before processing since it can affect negatively the reconstruction.

Workaround

Rotate the images back to the original image state (original pixel resolution of the camera) manually in an image viewer software, such as Windows Photo Viewer (by default on Windows). Make sure that the photo viewer saves the changes by checking the image properties. Then create a project again and import the modified images.

Example: If your original images have 4000 by 3000 resolution, rotate them again to obtain 4000 by 3000 resolution images.
