How to get a trial of PIX4Dmapper
This article explains how to start a free 15-day trial of our recommended next-generation software, PIX4Dmatic, or how to contact Sales to request a trial of PIX4Dmapper.
Important: PIX4Dmapper self-service trials are no longer directly available for automatic activation. To ensure you have access to the best tools for your project, we recommend testing our next-generation software or contacting our Sales team for specialized legacy needs.
Start a PIX4Dmatic trial instead (recommended)
To take advantage of our newest and most advanced photogrammetry technology, we highly recommend starting a trial of PIX4Dmatic.
PIX4Dmatic is our next-generation desktop photogrammetry software. It is built to handle very large datasets, corridor mapping, and terrestrial capture (with PIX4Dcatch) much faster than legacy applications. It also features advanced capabilities like Gaussian Splatting and seamless integration with PIX4Dcloud.
- Eligibility: All PIX4D accounts are eligible for a free 15-day trial of PIX4Dmatic Pro (subject to a limit of one trial per organization).
- How to activate:
- Follow the instructions in the How to get a trial license - PIX4Dmatic page.
- Navigate to the PIX4Dmatic Trial Activation page.
- Log in with your PIX4D account credentials (or sign up for a new account).
- Confirm the trial activation in your browser.
- Download and install the application from the PIX4D Download page.

Contact Sales for a PIX4Dmapper trial
If your workflow specifically relies on legacy processing or compatibility that requires PIX4Dmapper, you can request a manual trial through our Sales team.
- How to request:
- Go to the PIX4D website and open the Contact Sales form.
- Fill in your professional contact details.
- Select "Request a trial."
- Specify your project requirements and explain why your workflow specifically requires PIX4Dmapper.
- Our Sales team will evaluate your request and get in touch with you to assist with license setup.
Limitations on Trial Licenses
Only one trial can be activated per organization. If any user within the organization has already started a trial, no other member of that organization can start another trial for the same product. Trials are also limited to one per user, regardless of the organization. Users cannot obtain additional trials by switching to or joining another organization.
If a trial license already exists (or previously existed) in the same organization but was requested by another user, please create a new organization and change the default organization to the new organization. A user account can create only one trial license per product.
For any questions regarding trial licenses, please fill out the contact form and select "Request a trial" from the dropdown menu to reach out to us.
The decision from our team and the subsequent reply can take up to 15 days.
