How to calculate a Volume from a specific Base Altitude

Follow

To set the base altitude of a stockpile above or below the surface of the Densified 3D Point Cloud:

  1. Draw a stockpile object: 202560319. For each vertex of the stockpile base, a manual tie point is created. Do not mark the position of the manual tie points in the images.
  2. Open the GCP/Manual Tie Point Manger202557859.
  3. Convert the stockpile object tie points to 3D GCPs.
  4. Change the altitude of the 3D GCPs to the desired altitude of the volume base.
  5. Click OK to save the changes and close the GCP/Manual Tie Point Manager.
  6. Open the GCP/Manual Tie Point Manager.
  7. Convert the stockpile object tie points to Manual Tie Point.
  8. Click OK to save the changes and close the GCP/Manual Tie Point Manger.
  9. Open the Volumes tab, select the stockpile object, and click Compute to get the new volume calculation.
  10. You may mark the position of the manual tie points in the images for the manual tie points whose altitude was not changed in step 4.

Note: The same workflow may be applied for any vertex of the base surface.

Surely step 9 should say "Open Volumes ..."
