      Pix4Ddiscovery / Discovery mode - PIX4Dmapper

      Pix4Ddiscovery is free of charge, unlimited in time and lets Pix4D users process and assess their projects of any size with limited output results.

      Important: Pix4Ddiscovery users can upgrade at any time to Pix4Dmapper directly in the Welcome page of the software.

      Is Pix4Ddiscovery free?

      Pix4Ddiscovery is free of charge. To use it, a Pix4D account is needed.

      Which is the difference between Pix4Ddiscovery and the solutions that can be bought?

      There is no limitation in the number of images that can be processed with Pix4Ddiscovery. The number of images depends on:

      The minimum and recommended hardware specifications are the same as for Pix4Dmapper. For more information: System requirements: Minimum and recommended computer specifications.

      Is Pix4Ddiscovery limited in time?

      Processing with Pix4Ddiscovery is not time limited.

      Can Pix4Dmapper, Pix4Dmapper trial and Pix4Ddiscovery be used at the same time on the same machine?

      Pix4Dmapper, Pix4Dmapper trial and Pix4Ddiscovery can not be used at the same time on the same PC. When logging in the user can select the license to be activated. For step by step instructions: How to log in to Pix4Dmapper.

      Can a project processed with Pix4Dmapper be opened with Pix4Ddiscovery?

      A project that has been processed with Pix4Dmapper can be opened by Pix4Ddiscovery.

      Warning: If project results are generated using Pix4Dmapper, save a copy of the results to a new directory before processing the project using Pix4Ddiscovery to prevent the results from being overwritten.
      Warning: A project can be opened with the same or a more recent version of Pix4Dmapper. The project cannot be converted to a version previous to the one it was generated with.

      To open any Pix4Dmapper project, the following information is required:

      • The .p4d file of the project.
      • The output folder of the project.
      • The input images of the project.
