This article provides step-by-step instructions to solve the black or gray screen issue when opening PIX4Dmapper.

Cause

This black or gray loading screen appears when privacy settings are not configured. The specific configurations within the privacy settings are unimportant and must be filled in. Once the privacy settings have been established, the user can continue to use PIX4Dmapper.

Solution

  1. Open the privacy page on your account page: https://account.pix4d.com/privacy (if requested, enter the credentials of your PIX4D account).



  2. Click the Edit button.
  3. Select "Yes" or "No" for both questions under the Communication preferences and the Analytics sections.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Log in to PIX4Dmapper again.
