How to download results from the cloud

There are several options to access the result files after processing:

Download single outputs
Download project folders (all processing files and outputs)

Note: The list of downloadable items depends on:
    • The processing steps that are complete.
    • The selected outputs and formats.
    • The solution used to process (Pix4Dmapper, Pix4Dbim, Pix4Dag, Pix4Dmodel).

Download single outputs

1. Go to Pix4D Cloud and log in with a valid Pix4D account.
2. On the left menu bar, select the solution used to process on the cloud servers.
3. Click bu_download.png on the project preview to display the list of downloadable items.

    • Export to Pix4D Desktop (.zip): Project folders.
    • Input images (.zip): Uploaded dataset.
    • Quality report (.pdf).
    • Orthomosaic (.tif, GeoTIFF).
    • NDVI (.tif, GeoTIFF).
    • Band reflectance (.tif, GeoTIFF).
    • DSM (.tif, GeoTIFF).
    • Point cloud (.las).
    • Mesh (.obj, fbx).
    • Processing log (.log).

4. Click the desired output to start downloading.

Tip: Not all generated outputs are downloadable directly from the cloud platform (e.g. contour lines). In that case, exporting the project folders is necessary.

Important: If the output (e.g. point cloud) is split into several .las sub-files because it was too big or because of camera and processing options, the output cannot be downloaded individually. It is then needed to download the project folders (Export to Pix4D Desktop) to get all the .las sub-files that are stored here: ...\project_name\2_densification\point_cloud.

Download project folders

1. Go to Pix4D Cloud and log in with a valid Pix4D account.
2. On the left menu bar, select the solution used to process on the cloud servers.
3. Click bu_download.png on the project preview to display the list of downloadable items.
4. Click Export to Pix4D desktop. A notification appears indicating that the .zip file is getting ready. As soon as the .zip file is ready for download, an email is sent to the email address of license account.
5. Open the email and click Download .zip file.
6. Unzip the file and save the project in the desired directory.

To access individual outputs (e.g. orthomosaic, point cloud) browse the folders to locate the desired file. For more information about the structure of the project folders: 202558649.

It is then also possible to open the project with Pix4D Desktop after downloading the program. For more information: 202557299

Important: The project folders do not include the input images. It is necessary to download them separately in case the images are not saved locally.

7. Go back to the list of downloadable items of the project on the cloud platform.
8. Click Input images and proceed as previously to export the .zip file containing images.
9. Browse the project folders and double click the file project_name.p4d.
10. On the pop-up, click OK and navigate to the directory where the images are stored.
