The Mission checklist displays a checklist that has to be validated before the drone can start or resume a mission. The items on the checklist can have several statuses:
? Unknown
In progress
Success
Warning
Failed
Depending on the item on the checklist, a failure can have different causes and different solutions:
Drone connection
Cause for failure
- The App is not connected to the drone through Wi-Fi.
Solutions:
- Check that the device is connected to the remote controller
- Check that the remote controller is turned on
- Restart the App and the drone if you don't find the problem
Drone GPS satellites
Cause for failure
- The drone is connected to less than 6 GPS satellites.
Solution:
- Wait a few seconds.
- If possible, take off manually. The drone will detect more satellites if it is above the surrounding obstacles such as buildings.
Drone SD Storage
Cause for failure
- The camera storage reported an error.
Solution:
- Please try another card or try reformatting the card.
Cause for warning
- Not enough space on camera storage for the estimated number of images for the mission.
Solution:
- Please clear the space or try another card.
Drone to grid distance
Cause for failure
- The drone is too far away from the grid (more than 2000m).
Solution:
- Bring the drone close to the grid. It has to be less than 2000m away from the center of the grid.
Drone armed (only for DJI drones)
Cause for failure
- Motors are engaged while drone is not flying.
Solution:
- Turn motors off or take off manually before starting mission.
Drone battery level
Cause for failure
- The drone battery level is not sufficient (Drone battery level <= Min battery level).
Solution:
- Verify that the drone's battery is charged (at least at the selected Minimum Battery Level).
Cause for warning
- Low drone battery level (30% >= Drone battery level > Min battery level).
- Multiple batteries are required.
Solution:
- Verify that the drone's battery is charged (at least at the selected Minimum Battery Level).
Camera ready
Cause for failure
- Couldn't connect to the drone's camera or couldn't set the appropriate photo mode.
Solution:
- Restart the drone and Pix4Dcapture Pro.
Flight mode (only for DJI drones)
Cause for failure
- The flight mode switch is not in the correct position.
Solution:
- Flip the flight mode position to the correct position and wait a few seconds.
Mission upload
Cause for failure
- The mission has not been uploaded to the drone or was rejected by the drone.
Solution:
- Wait. There may be other takeoff items which must pass before the mission can upload, or it may take a while for a long mission to be generated and uploaded.
- Make sure the connection with the drone is strong.
- Restart your drone and start again.
Controller battery level
Cause for failure
- Low Remote Controller Battery Level (Controller battery level <= 20%)
Solution:
- Verify that the remote controller`s battery is charged (at least at 20%)
Cause for warning
- Low Remote Controller Battery Level (30% >= Controller battery level > 20%)
Solution:
- Verify that the remote controller`s battery is charged (> 30%)
RTK connection (only for RTK drones)
Cause for failure
- No RTK status
Solution:
- Ensure RTK status is fixed or disable RTK positioning.
Drone calibration
Cause for failure
- The drone is not calibrated.
Solution:
- Please calibrate the drone in the drone vendor app, then try again.
Homepoint is set
Cause for failure
- The drone is not connected to enough GPS satellites to retrieve its position.
Solution:
- Verify that the Drone GPS satellites check is validated.
Geofence
Note: A geofence is an area, defined by the user, where the drone is allowed to fly (for example, a typical one has a 500m radius with 120m height to comply with the regulations), but it can be modified by the user in the drone-vendor app.
Cause for failure
- The mission is outside the geofence.
Solution:
- Please change the geofence parameters in the drone vendor app, then try again.
Camera found in database
Cause for failure
- The camera is not recognized as a supported one.
Solution:
- Ensure that a supported camera model is connected to the drone.
- Restart your drone and start again.
